Bayern puts three of its biggest stars up for sale

He Bayern Munichone of the most successful clubs in Europe, have made the surprising decision to put three of their leading attacking players up for sale: Sadio Mané, Leroy Sane and serge gnabry. According to reports in the German newspaper Bildthe Bavarian club is looking to give its squad a twist and considers that the sale of these players could be part of that renewal.

Despite being considered key players in Bayern’s attacking front, the bad end to the season and certain incidents have led the club’s board of directors to make this determination. Mané, who had an altercation with Sané during the second leg of the quarterfinals at the Etihad Stadium, has been harshly punished for his aggression towards his teammate, and his exit seems inevitable. There is even the possibility that he will return to Liverpool, his old club, just a year after his departure.

For his part, Sané has failed to shine since his arrival from Manchester City. Despite having playing opportunities, his performance has been inconsistent and he has lost his place in the starting eleven. Gnabry, by contrast, has performed well this season finale, having scored 14 goals. However, most of his goals came in the final stretch of the championship, but it should be noted that at the beginning of the season he underperformed and it was common to see him on the bench.

Maelstrom of trouble in Munich

This decision to put Mané, Sané and Gnabry up for sale is part of a troubled period for Bayern Munich. After winning the Bundesliga in surprising fashion, the club sacked Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamdzic, and have brought Karl-Heinz Rummenigge back to the offices. Rummenigge, a legendary figure at the club, has returned with a clear vision and the sale of these three players could be one of his first major decisions.
