It is surprising to see the list of Armani players, low on the sidelines, and to see how they later play on the pitch. Each one wages war on their own, they have no energy and only live on the occasional talent of some of them. Barely they had three victories before visiting the Buesa Arena and they left Vitoria with the same baggage.
Joan Peñarroya, as was foreseeable, could not count on Sedekerskis, who continues with his adductor discomfort. In the first two minutes, neither of the two teams were able to move the score. The first, in Baskonia, was Giedraitis in the third. Davies made the inaugural for his own in the fourth. Hommes became the protagonist of that first act thanks to three consecutive triples. At 21-7, Messina was forced to call a timeout.
The Italian reaction came in the second period with a good initial set in their favor (24-15, min. 12) but the Cazoo got their act together again and opened the gap again with the 38-27 break. The Lombards were very failing while the local team did its job well in defense. Leaving a team like the Milanese in less than thirty points has its merit. It is also true that the people from Vitoria only added 14 points in that period.
Fear entered the body of the fans with the 40-35 but Howard began to hit triples and the rubber stretched again. Armani signed poor field goal percentages and, except for Davies who went to the last ten minutes with 19 points, they were very failing. With 53-37 the men from Peñarroya promised them very happy but danger was always lurking since, in addition, secondaries like Baldasso began to do really well. The third quarter was won by the Messina team by 2 points.
When things got ugly, the magic of Pi Henry arrived, well escorted by Darius Thomas (62-48, min. 34). The Armani has diamonds, emeralds, pearls, rubies, gold and silver but the necklace, today, is poorly combined. They wear a beautiful dress, etiquette, and they don’t stain it because they don’t go down into the mud. Halfway through the final quarter, Baskonia was already winning by 17 points (68-51) and the match was closed. Seen what has been seen, the area through which the team of an Ettore Messina transits is not surprising, who saw a technique at the end of the clash.
