The FC Barcelona, regardless of the questionable ethics of the operation, signed a good transfer by which Emerson has become a new player in the Tottenham in exchange for 25 million euros.
However, as reported Fabrizio Romano, the azulgrana club rejected several options, two specifically, in said operation, in which Barça wanted the money at all times.
Ndombele and Aurier were offered as an exchange
Apparently, according to the famous journalist, the Tottenham would have offered two players to FC Barcelona in the Emerson operation. The Brazilian side opened the possibility of new incorporations to FC Barcelona, such as Aurier and Ndombele.
Aurier would compensate for Emerson’s departure while Ndombele would serve to reinforce the Blaugrana midfield, but Laporta he always wanted money and ended up choosing it because, apparently, the president of the Catalan entity never reconsidered any exchange.
