A 40-year-old Pakistani man, his Romanian wife and two young children were killed in a fire in the central Spanish city of Tetouan.
According to rescue officials, one of the children who died in the blaze on Tuesday was 3 years old while the other was one year old.
According to the DW report, the victim’s family has been living in different parts of Catalonia for the past 10 years and the couple used to collect and sell scrap from different parts of the city for their livelihood.
According to fire brigade officials, a total of eight people were present in the house at the time of the accident out of which four survived.
Investigators are also considering whether the fire was a result of an altercation or retaliation.
Confirming the fire and the casualties, Pakistani Consul General Imran Ali said that consultations were underway with the heirs before sending the bodies to Pakistan.
