FC Barcelona has decided to award the emblematic No.10 of Lionel Messi to the young Ansu Fati, announced the Catalan club on Wednesday on its social networks.
Currently in the recovery phase after his left knee meniscus fracture that occurred almost a year ago, in November 2020, the 18-year-old appeared in a video released by Barça on his social networks, where he is seen brandish and then don a jersey decorated with the 10, formerly owned by La Pulga.
Ansu Fati, from the very famous Catalan training center of “La Masia”, made his debut for the first team in 2019, at only 16 years old.

This attribution thus puts an end to the speculations which said that the number of Lionel Messi, transferred to PSG in early August, was going to be withdrawn by Barça in tribute to the best player in the history of the club.
Note that Ousmane Dembélé will recover Antoine Griezmann’s No. 7, returned to Atlético Madrid at the end of the transfer window, on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday.
