Banreservas first bank to obtain anti-bribery certification

Banco de Reservas became the first Dominican financial institution to obtain ISO-37001 certification for the Anti-Bribery Management System, for meeting international parameters of ethical compliance, which allow it to prevent, detect and mitigate -timely and effectively- the risk of bribery and corruption.

The certifying firm of international prestige (TÜV NORD) evaluated the objective policies, procedures and processes of the banking institution, and at the end of its review concluded that “the Reserve Bank of the Dominican Republic complies with the scope of the requirements requested by the standard”.

In addition to being the first financial entity in the country to obtain this distinction, Banreservas becomes the second in Central America and the sixth in Latin America to obtain it, according to information from the International Certification Organization (ISO).

Upon receiving the certification, the general manager of Banreservas, Samuel Pereyra, highlighted that “this achievement strengthens our prestige and strengthens our international recognition, as well as the Bank’s relationship with the different stakeholders with which it interacts.”
