Bank manager involved in fraud of lakhs of rupees arrested

Tamil Nadu: A manager of a private bank in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu has been arrested for defrauding millions of rupees and gold coins.

According to an Indian media report, a manager of a private bank in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu has been arrested for allegedly defrauding a customer of Rs 3.6 lakh and 50 gold coins.

The accused bank manager, identified as Balakrishna, had taken Rs 36 lakh in cash and some gold from the customer promising interest.

The customer accused the bank manager of cheating him after taking Rs 36 lakh and 50 gold coins, Saard also said that he had sold his property for the amount.

When the customer contacted the bank to withdraw his interest amount, he found that the manager had not deposited the amount in the bank.

The customer filed a complaint against the manager at the district police station for fraud, following which the manager was arrested for further investigation.
