Alec Baldwin will not face any consequences after crashing his wife Hilaria Baldwin’s vehicle into a tree in New York. The incident occurred on Monday, October 13, at approximately 12:01 p.m. local time.
East Hampton City Police Department Chief Michael D. Sarlo confirmed the details. He stated that the department responded to a single-vehicle accident on State Route 27, Pantigo Road, near Cross Highway.
A 2023 white Range Rover, driven by Alec Baldwin, had collided with a tree. His brother, Stephen Baldwin, was a passenger in the vehicle at the time.
Police determined the crash was caused by Baldwin swerving to avoid a maneuver by a 2020 Mack commercial truck. Slippery and wet road conditions were also cited as contributing factors.
No injuries were reported, and authorities did not issue any citations following the incident.

Alec Baldwin later addressed the accident on social media. He stated that he "crushed my wife’s car" but confirmed that "everything is fine and I’m fine and my brother is fine."
He described the other vehicle as a "huge whale-sized garbage truck" that "cut me off." Baldwin added that he collided with "a big fat tree" to avoid hitting the truck.
Stephen Baldwin’s representative confirmed his safety. The representative stated that Stephen is "thankful no one was hurt" and that both brothers are "safe and well."
Alec Baldwin, 67, and Stephen Baldwin, 59, had been in the Hamptons for the International Film Festival. The vehicle involved was Hilaria Baldwin’s 2023 Range Rover.

The incident adds to a challenging period for the family. Hilaria Baldwin, 41, was recently eliminated from Dancing With the Stars.
She attributed her elimination to "mean girls" and "very coordinated and strategic bullying." Hilaria Baldwin claimed campaigns were organized to vote against her on the competition show.
