Baida Movie Review: Thrilling Offbeat Concept with Unique Twist

Imagine waking up one morning to find yourself in a completely different era, surrounded by strangers in a world that’s both familiar and yet, utterly foreign. This is exactly what happens to Ram Babu, the protagonist of the newly released film “Baida”, played by Sudhanshu Rai. As a former hitman turned tractor salesman, Ram Babu’s life takes a drastic turn when he stumbles upon a mysterious cottage in a remote village in eastern Uttar Pradesh.

As he navigates the uncharted territory, he finds himself transported to British India, where he’s pursued by a determined inspector and his team. With his quick wit and resourcefulness, Ram Babu manages to escape and finds his way back to the present. But this is only the beginning of his journey. He soon discovers that the mysterious stranger he met earlier, known as “Pishaach”, has been luring people into his world, where he’s been conducting experiments to cheat death.

With only two days to spare, Ram Babu must navigate this treacherous new world and confront Pishaach to save his own life. Will he succeed in outsmarting the villain and making it back to his own world? You’ll have to watch the film to find out.

The Story Unfolds

The film’s narrative is engaging, with unexpected twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. Director Punit Sharma has attempted to craft a thrilling story, but it falls short in some areas. The pacing is well-balanced, with a few minor detours that don’t detract from the overall experience. The film’s runtime of approximately one and a half hours ensures that you’re invested in the story until the very end.

One of the standout aspects of the film is its cast, particularly Sudhanshu Rai, who shines in his role as Ram Babu. Shobhit Sujay, who plays Golu, brings much-needed comic relief to the film, while Hiten Tejwani makes a brief but impressive appearance. However, Saurabh Raj Jain, who plays Pishaach, fails to leave a lasting impression.

A Mixed Bag

The film’s cinematography is decent, but the production quality is lacking in some areas. The special effects and set design could have been improved to create a more immersive experience. Despite these flaws, “Baida” is a unique thriller that will appeal to fans of offbeat cinema.

With its intriguing storyline and impressive performances, this film is sure to keep you entertained.
