Bagrícola has lent RD $ 7,300 million at zero rate

The administrator of Banco Agrícola (Bagrícola), Fernando Durán, revealed that andn the first year of management at the head of the entity they have granted RD $ 38,500 million in loans and of these, RD $ 7,300 million at zero rate.

During the reopening ceremony of the La Vega branch, Durán assured that the President Abinader’s decision to allocate RD $ 5 billion to lend at zero rate “It has been one of the most significant contributions made to the Dominican countryside in recent times.”

The official stated that they are doing the investments necessary to incorporate technological tools into that institution and the capabilities that allow it to be at the forefront of financial services in cities and rural areas of the national territory.

“We are investing in new software. We are investing in the acquisition of technologies that allow us to improve internal processes, increase the digitization of the bank’s operations, many of which are still manual ”, he said.

“We are working to expand the financial services offered by the bank, the institution’s IT capabilities, to be more efficient, agile and transparent in our operations,” said Durán.

He added that they are also working to increase cybersecurity in Bagrícola, to guarantee the protection of their clients’ financial operations.

“We can ensure that the bank is modernizing,” he said during the activity attended by former President Hipólito Mejía, the Minister of Agriculture, Limber Cruz; the members of the executive board of the Bagrícola and officials of the Agricultural Cabinet of the Government and Bagrícola.
