Bad Bunny Tops Spotify Wrapped 2025 Global Charts for Fourth Time

Spotify released its annual Spotify Wrapped year-end listener summaries on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. This marks the eleventh annual edition of the personalized music and podcast compilations from the streaming giant.

Bad Bunny has been named Spotify’s Top Global Artist of 2025. This achievement marks his fourth time leading the annual ranking. He previously held the top spot in 2020, 2021, and 2022.

The artist accumulated an impressive 19.8 billion streams worldwide. This places him above Taylor Swift, who held the Global Top Artist title in 2023 and 2024.

Spotify clarified that Bad Bunny’s recognition is not an editorial choice. The platform stated it is "earned entirely by the listeners." Wrapped reflects user listening habits, with every stream and fan interaction contributing to the annual acknowledgment.

Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, had an extraordinary year. He headlined a 31-date concert residency in Puerto Rico titled No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí over the summer. He also hosted Saturday Night Live in October. He is scheduled to headline the Super Bowl LX halftime show on February 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

In honor of Bad Bunny’s 2025 success, Spotify announced a partnership with his Good Bunny Foundation and the Rimas Foundation. Together, they will launch a Mobile Academy. This initiative will provide music resources, training, and special scholarships to students across Puerto Rico.

Taylor Swift ranked second on Spotify’s Top Global Artist of 2025 list. The Weeknd, Drake, and Billie Eilish rounded out the top five. Swift, however, topped the list of Best U.S. Artists of 2025.

Bad Bunny’s sixth studio album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, was named Spotify’s Top Global Album of 2025. It reached number one on the Billboard 200 earlier in the year. The soundtrack KPop Demon Hunters and Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft followed it in the global rankings.

In the U.S., Morgan Wallen’s I’m The Problem was the Top Album. SZA’s SOS Deluxe: LANA and Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos secured the second and third spots, respectively. Taylor Swift’s twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, released in October, is expected to have a greater impact on next year’s Wrapped rankings.

The most popular global song on Spotify in 2025 was "Die With a Smile" by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars. Billie Eilish’s "Birds of a Feather" was second. The top five also included "APT." by Rosé and Mars, "Ordinary" by Alex Warren, and Bad Bunny’s "DtMF."
