Bad Bunny Leads 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards with Record 27 Nominations

Bad Bunny leads the nominations for the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards, setting a new record with 27 nods. The Puerto Rican superstar’s dominance underscores his continued influence in Latin music. He is also slated to receive the prestigious Billboard Latin Artist of the 21st Century Award.

The highly anticipated awards ceremony will take place live on Thursday, October 23. It will broadcast from the James L. Knight Center in Miami at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT.

Viewers can watch the show on Telemundo, Peacock, and Universo. The Telemundo app and Telemundo Internacional will also carry the broadcast for audiences across Latin America and the Caribbean.

Goyo and Javier Poza will host the star-studded gala. Confirmed performers include Daddy Yankee, Laura Pausini, Peso Pluma, Carlos Vives, and Olga Tañón, among others.

Beyond Bad Bunny, several other icons will be honored. Laura Pausini is set to receive the Billboard Icon Award, while Peso Pluma will be presented with the Billboard Vanguard Award. Legendary artist Elvis Crespo will be inducted into the Billboard Hall of Fame.

The Billboard Latin Music Awards are uniquely based on artists’ actual performance. Categories are determined by data from Billboard charts, measuring streams, sales, radio airplay, and touring information via Luminate.

Other artists garnering significant recognition include Karol G, Peso Pluma, Rauw Alejandro, Fuerza Regida, Netón Vega, and Tito Double P. These artists are prominent across multiple major categories for their work in the past year.
