Tondela coach Cristiano Bacci is using the week following a recent cup elimination to intensively refine a new three-center-back tactical system ahead of a challenging league fixture.
The Portuguese football club returns to training Tuesday after a day of recovery, with Bacci focused on perfecting the new model. He introduced the system, featuring three central defenders, with players Christian Marques, João Afonso, and Brayan Medina.
Bacci aims to continue developing this formation throughout the current training week.
The refinement comes in preparation for a “more complicated” match against Gil Vicente, scheduled for Saturday. Tondela was recently eliminated from the Taça de Portugal after a defeat against Caldas.
