In the first game of the 2023 Asian Cup, Pakistan defeated Nepal by a bang with 238 runs. Babar Azam and Iftikhar Ahmed fought brilliantly for Pakistan and it was thanks to these two players that the Pakistan team managed to claim a win. Babar broke a great record held by Indian Virat Kohli after playing big innings in that game.

Against Nepal, Babar Azam hit 151 runs with 131 balls, including 14 fours and 4 long sixes. He looked great and hit punches all over the floor. This is his 19th century in ODI cricket. With 151 runs, Babar is the player who has captained the most innings in the Asian Cup. He broke Virat Kohli’s record. Kohli scored 136 runs as captain at the 2014 Asian Cup against Bangladesh.
