Ayuso, last minute drop in the Volta a la C. Valenciana due to tendinitis

The sports director of the UAE Emirates, Joxean Matxin Fernández, explained on the Emirates team website that “Juan Ayuso he was supposed to start his season here, but he’s been suffering from a bit of tendonitis, so we’d rather not rush it to compete. Juan is in a good mood and we have no doubt that he will be ready to start his season very soon”.

Ayuso, who already participated in Valencia in the last edition of the Volta At the age of 19, he managed to make the podium in the last Tour of Spainfinishing in third position.

The UAE Emirates has reported that the team that will compete in the Volta it will be made up of Marc Soler, the American Brandon McNulty, the Colombian Sebastian Molano, the slovenian domen novak, the dane Mikkel Bjerg, the Polish Raphael Maja and the italian Diego Ulissi.
