Ayushmann Khurrana: Paresh Rawal’s ‘Thama’ Scene Recalls Late Father’s Blessing

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana recently shared an emotional experience related to his late father, Pandit P. Khurana. The poignant moment unfolded during the production of his new movie, ‘Thamma’.

Khurrana revealed that veteran actor Paresh Rawal inadvertently evoked memories of his father on set. Rawal uttered a specific phrase that carried deep personal significance for Khurrana.

The impactful phrase was “Ayushmann Bhava:,” a blessing his father traditionally imparted. Pandit P. Khurana would say these words whenever his son touched his feet.

Hearing Rawal speak this blessing deeply moved Khurrana. He felt as if his late father, now a guardian angel, was directly blessing him through Rawal’s voice.

Pandit P. Khurana, a renowned astrologer, passed away on May 19, 2023. This recent loss made the on-set moment particularly heartfelt for the actor.

Alongside Khurrana and Rawal, the film stars Rashmika Mandanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in key roles. ‘Thamma’ was released in theaters on October 21, 2025.
