The second Test match between Sri Lanka and Australia is currently underway. The Australian team has scored 330 runs in the first innings, losing three wickets so far. Steve Smith and Alex Carrie have performed well in the match, with both players scoring centuries, which has put the Australian team in a strong position.

Alex Carrie, the wicketkeeper for the Australian team, has scored 139 runs in 156 balls, including 13 fours and two sixes, and is still on the field. This is his second century in Test cricket, which comes two years after his first Test century in December 2022.

The match between Sri Lanka and Australia is taking place at the Gaul Cricket Stadium, where Alex Carrie has made history by scoring a century. He has become the second Australian wicketkeeper to score a Test century in Sri Lanka, a feat previously achieved by Adam Gilchrist. Gilchrist scored 144 runs against Sri Lanka in March 2004, and 25 years later, Alex Carrie has matched this achievement.

Alex Carrie made his Test debut for Australia in 2021 and has since played 39 Tests, scoring 1740 runs, including two centuries and nine half-centuries. His performance in the current match has been notable, with his century helping the Australian team gain a strong position in the game.
