The India team is preparing for the World Test Championship final against Australia starting next week. Last time the India team had to face defeat against New Zealand, in such a situation the team would like to win this time. Meanwhile, an Australian spinner had made a big statement about India’s star spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.

What does Murphy want to learn from Ashwin?

Like Indian legend Ravichandran Ashwin, Australian youngster Todd Murphy wants to add a ‘carrom ball’ variation to his game of bowls ahead of next week’s World Test Championship and Ashes series. Murphy was on Australia’s last tour of India, where he took 14 wickets at 25.51 in the four Test series. During this, he had closely watched Ashwin’s bowling.

working on carrom ball

The 22-year-old bowler said I’m still working on it (carrom ball) but I’m still some way from doing it like Ashwin. He said it sounds easy but it’s very hard to do. You must have the confidence to do it successfully. I’d love to. He said if your bowling has variety of turning the ball from one normal side to the other then it gives a different challenge to the batsman.

constantly preparing

Murphy, however, said that he would be more focused on his usual bowling. He said that you are always looking for ways to modify or add things to your quiver, but in Test cricket you have to make sure that you understand the fundamentals well.
