Australia captures World Test Championship title, defeats India by 209 runs in final

In the final match of the second edition of the World Test Championship (WTC), Australia defeated India by 209 runs to win the title. In this historic match, the Indian team hit a goal of 444 runs to win in the fourth innings of the match. But the India team were down to scoring 234 runs on the fifth day of the game. Nathan Lyon took 4 wickets while Scott Boland took 3 wickets in this innings for Australia.

When play on the fourth day ended in the final match, by this time the Indian team had scored 164 runs with the loss of 3 wickets. After this they needed a further 280 runs on the final day to win. But in the first session of the 5th day, the Indian team got 2 big defeats with a score of 179. It also includes the big wicket of Virat Kohli.
