India vs. Australia: The Indian cricket team is scheduled to face Australia in a four-match test series in February. If the Indian team has to reach the final of the World Test Championship, then this series is going to be very important. For the past few years, India has dominated the Australian team. However, the Indian team will not make the mistake of taking Australia lightly. Especially Team India will have to stay away from David Warner, the starter for the Kangaroo team.

Warner is threatened by the India team

Former Australian cricketer Callum Ferguson has backed veteran opener David Warner, saying he will dominate the Test series against India in February-March next year. Ferguson’s comments came after Warner scored a brilliant 255-ball double century in the Boxing Day Test against South Africa in Melbourne, which Australia won by an innings and 182 runs to take an unbeatable 2-0 series lead.

The record has not been good in India

Australia’s next season will be a four-Test tour of India after the third and final Test ends in Sydney. Warner crossed the 8000 run mark in the Melbourne test. He will be the most experienced player on this tour as he has toured India three times before. But he has yet to score a century in India and averages a modest 24.25 on Indian soil. Ferguson said: “I think the form he’s shown here has given him the feeling that he’s been batting for a long time. I think he’s going to be very important to us in the early stages.”

Former Australian cricketer Merv Hughes also agreed with Ferguson’s views, saying he never felt Warner’s place in the Test team was under threat.
