Australia Announces Squad for Limited Overs Series Against England and Scotland

The Australian cricket team has been announced for the upcoming limited overs series against England and Scotland in September. The team will first tour Scotland, where it will play a three-match T20 series against the host team, followed by three T20 matches against England and a five-match ODI series.

Pat Cummins Given Rest, Starc-Maxwell Only Part of ODI Team

Mitchell Marsh will captain the team in both the ODI and T20 series, while Pat Cummins has been rested to ensure he is fully refreshed for the Australian summer. Mitchell Starc and Glenn Maxwell have been included only in the ODI team. Ashton Agar and Matthew Wade, who played in the T20 World Cup 2024, have been dropped from the team, while David Warner has retired.

Cooper Connolly Makes Debut

Cooper Connolly, who has played 15 T20 matches at the domestic level, has been included in the team. He played a key role in the Perth Scorchers’ win in the 2022-23 Big Bash League season and offers left-arm spin bowling options.
