Aurelian AI Transforms US 911 Dispatch, Filters Emergency Calls

Max Keenan saw this problem. He once created an automatic booking system for hair salons. His company, Aurelian, is now making AI call handlers to fix the issue.

The AI Helper Is Born

Keenan looked closely at how emergency calls were handled. He found a big gap. Call centers and police stations often use the same people to manage overall safety and take all public calls. This meant one group of people had too many tasks.

Aurelian changed its focus. Instead of AI for hair salons, they built a voice AI for 911 centers. This AI helps reduce the number of calls that are not emergencies. The system is designed to sort non-urgent issues. Think about noise complaints, cars parked in wrong spots, or even someone reporting a lost wallet. These situations do not need police officers to rush to the scene. They can often be handled without sending an officer out at all.

This AI learns to spot real emergencies. It immediately sends those important calls to human dispatchers. For less urgent situations, the system gathers key information. It then creates a report or sends details straight to the police station for follow-up. Aurelian states this AI can save each dispatcher up to three hours of work per shift.

This AI is more than just smooth and efficient. It truly helps people who call in. It also fills a real need for more staff in these busy centers.
