Audo Vicente, general manager of the champions Tigres del Licey, will not attend the Caribbean Series that will take place in Venezuela from this Thursday, February 2.
Ricardo Ravelo, president of the team, told Listin Diario that Audo could not get permission from his Major League Baseball organization, the Seattle Mariners, for which he serves as a zonal scout.
Audo’s place would be taken by Fernando Ravelo, the group’s television commentator, past manager and brother of the president.
“Fernan” Ravelo was general manager for 12 years, starting in 2020-21, and during his tenure, Licey won 5 crowns.
Licey will be looking for her 11th crown when she makes her debut this coming Thursday against Mexico in the Caribbean Series.
