Attention Max Verstappen fans: Bizarre food and drink prices in Zandvoort

The Formula 1 calendar turns orange this weekend: the Grand Prix at the Circuit Zandvoort is on the agenda. Max Verstappen fans will be sitting in front of the television tomorrow at 3 p.m. or witness the race in person. If you’re one of the 300,000+ lucky visitors, you’ll have to pay big for your refreshments. In this article we take a look at the food and drink prices at the event and at the campsite.

Cost of refreshments at Max Verstappen race party

First of all, let’s take a look at the costs on the route itself. Of course, the prices here are a bit higher than at the associated campsite. Unlike the campsite, according to the GP website, you are not allowed to bring your own food and drinks. So you will have to settle for the offer and the prices of the event.

Heineken is a proud sponsor of the GP and logically supplies all the beers. A normal beer costs 3.95 euros, while half a liter costs 7.10 euros. A bottle of water costs 5.10 euros and soft drinks are available for 3.50 euros. For a gin and tonic or mixed drink you have to dig deep into your pocket, namely 9 euros.

As far as food goes, a loose croquette or frikandel is the cheapest option. You pay 4 euros for this. If you have a slightly larger appetite, there are fries for 5.70 euros or a cheese sandwich for 6.50 euros. A salami pizza is the most expensive option at 16.50 euros.

The prices at the GP campsite in Zandvoort are of course not entirely unimportant. As already mentioned, the prices here are a bit cheaper. A normal beer costs 3.50 euros and half a liter costs 6.35 euros. The price for a bottle of water and soft drinks, on the other hand, is the same as at the event itself.

As for the food, you pay 3.50 euros for a frikandel and croquette, while fries cost 5 euros. Of course there is much more, such as a saté or schnitzel for 13 euros.
