Attack on Azerbaijan embassy in Iran, chief security officer killed

Tehran: A security officer was killed in a firing incident at the embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran.

According to foreign media, there has been an attack on the embassy of Azerbaijan in Tehran, the capital of Iran, as a result of the gunman’s firing, the chief security officer was killed and 2 security guards were injured.

The Iranian police say that the suspect who attacked the embassy of Azerbaijan has been arrested, but the suspect is still being investigated.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, it is said that preliminary investigation reports of the shooting incident at the embassy in Tehran are ongoing, the attacker first destroyed the security check post and then targeted the security chief and guards.
