ATP Finals Title: Alexander Zverev won the ATP Finals title and became the champion for the second time.

German Alexander Zverev defeated Daniil Medvedev of Russia to win the ATP Finals title on Sunday. Zverev defeated world number two and defending champion Medvedev 6-4, 6-4 in the title match. Zverev has become the winner of this tournament for the second time. Previously, he won the ATP Finals trophy in 2018.

This is Zverev’s sixth trophy this season. He won the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics. Third seed Zverev took just 75 minutes to win the game. He defeated Medvedev, the winner of this year’s US Open, in straight sets. Previously, he had lost all 5 matches against Medvedev.

After winning the ATP Finals trophy, Zverev said: ‘I have won this title from the person I have been losing to the last 5 matches in a row. I had to do my best. Now I am happy and ready to celebrate the holiday with this victory. For me, the season ends with a good victory. What could have been better than this?

Earlier in the semi-final match, Zverev defeated world number one tennis player Novak Djokovic of Serbia 7-6 (4), 4-6, 6-3 to enter the final. Zverev defeated Djokovic for the second time in a row this year in a major tournament. He also defeated Djokovic in the semi-finals of the Tokyo Olympics.
