A strong explosion originated this Friday in the attic of a four-story building in a central area of Madrid, for reasons that are still unknown, was settled so far with 18 woundedall minor except one serious, while looking for two missing.
According to the emergency service of the Spanish capital, firefighters work in the building affected in search of people who may have been trapped, after having rescued four of the injured from inside.

The cause of the explosion could be found in a construction site that were carried out in the building, the mayor of the city, José Luis Martínez Almeida, told the media.
The mayor explained that four of The injured were taken to hospitals.among them the only seriously injured person registered, a person who initially had not been located when he was fired and fell into a patio, the alderman commented.
Some of the injured neighbors were treated at a field hospital set up on the spot.
The firefighters ordered the evacuation of one of the adjoining buildings, in order to review the structure and verify its safety conditions.
The explosion occurred at 13:30 local time (12:30 GMT) in a building located in the confluence between General Pardiñas and Ayala streetsin the Salamanca district, where material damage was reported to street furniture and vehicles parked in the area, although the façade of the block does not appear to be affected.
Sources from Emergencies Madrid have confirmed that a school very close to the place of the explosion did not have to be evacuated, so the students and teaching staff remained inside.
