A 4-year-old American girl caught a 2-pound (0.92 kg) golden trout in Wyoming (United States).
The news was announced on Twitter by the International Sport Fishing Association (IGFA). Caroline May Evans has “submitted a request” to “potentially set the IGFA record” in the category reserved for children aged 10 and under.

Before releasing her grip, the little girl still took the time to pose with it, for posterity. In the photo, we can see her all smiles, proudly showing the trout, which is almost half its size.
In adults, the IGFA record for a golden trout was also obtained in Wyoming. In 1948, Chas reed had caught an 11 pound (4.9 kilogram) specimen.
