Astros win sixth in a row, Cabrera along with Aaron and Pujols

The Astros trailed 2-1 in the eighth inning when Altuve singled with one out. He scored on a Brantley 3-pointer to right field to even the score.

Detroit intentionally walked Yordan Alvarez with two outs before Michael Fulmer (1-1) walked another player from the island, Yuli Gurriel, to load the bases.

Another walk to Kyle Tucker allowed Brantley to score to put Houston up 3-2.

Dominican Bryan Abreu (1-0) pitched the eighth inning blank for the win. Closer Ryan Pressly pitched the perfect ninth inning to reach four saves.

For the Tigres, Puerto Rican Javier Báez 5-2 with a run scored, Willi Castro 4-1. The Venezuelan Miguel Cabrera 4-1 with two RBIs. The Dominican Jeimer Candelario 4-2.

For the Astros, the Venezuelan Altuve 4-2 with two runs scored and one RBI. The Cubans Álvarez 2-0, Gurriel 3-0, Aledmys Díaz 1-0. The Dominican Jeremy Peña 4-1. Puerto Rican Martin Maldonado 2-0.
