Shohei Ohtani’s four hits

The game started with Shohei Ohtani’s single with a grounder to center. The second pick was an RBI triple in the third inning; the line went deep to center field and Luis Rengifo reached home plate.

The only at-bat he failed to get on base was the third, as the Japanese star was tagged out in a double play after grounding out to second.

The Angels scored four runs in the seventh and one was produced by the Japanese. Ohtani sent ‘Doña Blanca’ to left field for a double with which Rengifo passed the register again.

His last turn came in the ninth inning and ended in a single to right field. Ohtani scored the Angels’ sixth off a wild pitch from closer Ryan Pressly while it was Matt Thaiss’ turn.
