Astronomer CEO’s Wife Changes Facebook Name Amid Coldplay Kiss Cam Drama

The world of tech and entertainment collided with a bang at a recent Coldplay concert. Andy Byron, the CEO of Astronomer, found himself in a very public spotlight. He was caught on the concert’s “Kiss Cam” with a woman identified as Kristin Cabot. She works as the Chief People Officer at his company, Astronomer.

The incident happened at a Coldplay show in Boston on Wednesday, July 16. The camera zoomed in on Andy, who had his arms around Kristin. Suddenly, Andy dropped to the floor, looking caught off guard. Kristin quickly turned away, hiding her face with her hands. It was quite a scene for everyone watching.

Coldplay’s lead singer, Chris Martin, even joked about it. “Wow, look at these two!” he said to the crowd. “Okay, come on. They’re good.” He added, “They’re either having an affair or they’re just super shy. I’m not sure what to do.” Martin then quipped, “Holy smokes! Hope we haven’t done anything wrong.”

Since that very public moment, Andy Byron’s wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron, has reportedly made a subtle change online. News reports indicate Megan dropped the “Byron” from her Facebook name. A screenshot shared by Newsweek showed this change. Her account has since disappeared completely.

No one involved has spoken publicly about the status of Andy and Megan’s marriage. Reporters trying to get answers have previously reached out for comment. Kristin Cabot has also stayed quiet about her connection to Andy outside of work. They also tried to get a statement from Cabot.

Kristin Cabot joined Astronomer in November 2024. Andy Byron himself had announced her hiring with high praise. In a press release at the time, Andy stated, “At Astronomer, our people are the most valuable asset to help our customers do more and gain a competitive edge with their data.”

He continued, “Kristin’s great leadership and deep experience in talent management, employee engagement, and scaling people strategies will be key. We are on a fast path, and she will help us continue that.” Andy also added, “She is a known leader at many growing companies. Her passion for creating diverse and teamwork-focused workplaces makes her perfect for Astronomer.”

Kristin Cabot also shared her thoughts when she was hired. She said she felt “motivated” to work with Andy’s team. “I like to think of my role as people strategy, not old-fashioned human resources,” Cabot explained. “The real magic happens when you line up people strategy with business strategy.” She further stated, “Many companies don’t see the value a strong people leader can bring. It’s not just about benefits or served lunches. There’s so much more to it. I felt excited in my talks with Andy and the Astronomer leadership team about the chances here.”
