Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Valley of Memory DLC Brings Back Jump Feature

Remember when Assassin’s Creed characters could actually jump? For a long time, many of us probably forgot this basic move. The last time your assassin had a dedicated jump button was way back in “Unity,” over a decade ago. Now, Ubisoft is finally bringing that classic parkour staple back. It’s landing soon in the new DLC for “Assassin’s Creed Mirage.”

This might seem like a small detail at first. But for longtime fans, it’s a pretty big deal. After “Unity,” which came out 11 years ago, main “Assassin’s Creed” games stopped offering a specific jump key. Even as the series grew into massive open worlds with lots to explore, players often felt let down. The climbing and movement, or “parkour,” became too simple. It didn’t always feel like true urban exploration anymore, which was a core part of the earlier games.

This long-awaited feature isn’t just a random addition. It’s part of a much bigger package coming in the “Valley of Memory” DLC. Developers are shaking things up quite a bit. They’re letting players replay main story missions, which is a neat bonus. Plus, there will be new rewards to earn. A big highlight is a total refresh of the entire parkour system. And yes, a dedicated jump button is a key part of that overhaul, putting more control directly into players’ hands.

“Assassin’s Creed Mirage” initially promised to take the series back to its beginnings. For the most part, it delivered on that goal. This new DLC, with its updated movement and, crucially, the return of the jump button, seems to push that idea even further. We’ll all get to see how these changes play out very soon. The “Valley of Memory” update is free for all players. It arrives on November 18th.
