At the same time, Pakistan’s proposed hybrid model for the tournament will also be approved and the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) will be able to make an official announcement on June 13.

Where the 2023 Asia Cup will be played has been in dispute for a long time. At the same time, ACC boss Jai Shah may soon accept Pakistan’s hybrid model. According to a report by ‘PTI’ news agency, all the matches of the tournament will be played in Pakistan except India. While all India vs Pakistan and India matches will be held in Sri Lanka. Apart from this, it has also been revealed in the report that Pakistan is coming to India for the ODI World Cup and they have no problem playing at the stadium.

ACC member and Oman Cricket boss Pankaj Khimji has solved the accommodation problem. He said apart from India, the rest of the matches will be held in Pakistan which include Pakistan vs Nepal, Bangladesh vs Afghanistan, Afghanistan vs Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh, these matches will be played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. . While India vs Pakistan and all other India matches will be played at Galle or Pallekele in Sri Lanka.

An ACC board member told PTI on condition of anonymity: “The head of the Oman Cricket Board, Pankaj Khimji, one of the respected ACC executive board members, was assigned to find a solution as most countries did not want the hybrid model. But at the moment, four matches away from India – Pakistan vs. Nepal, Bangladesh vs. Afghanistan, Afghanistan vs. Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka vs. Bangladesh – will take place at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The two matches between India and Pakistan and all other Super Four matches will be played in Pallekele or Galle.
