Ashwin created history by leaving Kumble behind to become the most wicket-taking bowler in India.

India’s legendary off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin created history in the fourth Test match in Ranchi. Ravichandran Ashwin, who recently completed 500 wickets in Test cricket, has now set another major record in his name. He is now the best wicket-taker bowler in India. Ashwin achieved this great record leaving former legend Anil Kumble behind.

Ashwin took five wickets in the second innings of the fourth Test against England. With this, he now has 354 wickets to his name in 59 Tests in India. He broke Kulumbe’s record by dismissing Ollie Pope. Anil Kubale has 350 wickets to his name in 63 Tests in India. Ashwin is the only Indian to take 100 wickets against England.

Ravichandran Ashwin took five wickets in the second innings of the Ranchi Test against England. Ashwin achieved this feat for the 35th time in the Test. Anil Kumble has taken five or more wickets in an innings 35 times in 132 Tests. Ashwin drew level with Kumble in the 99th Test itself.

Team India is on the verge of victory in the fourth Test to be played in Ranchi. Responding to the target of 192 runs set by England, the Indian team scored 40 runs without losing a wicket by the end of the third day of play. Now the Indian team needs to score 152 runs to win on the fourth day and all of their 10 wickets are left. In this Test, England had scored 353 runs in the first innings. In return, the Indian team managed to score 307 runs in their first innings. Then the English team collapsed in the second innings for just 145 runs. In this way, India achieved the target of 192 runs to win.
