As of Monday, banks will ask for a vaccination card to enter their offices and from November they will extend their hours

The Association of Multiple Banks of the Dominican Republic (ABA) reported that as of next Monday, October 18, entities will require the presentation of the vaccination card to enter their offices and that from November they will begin to extend their hours.

Visitors must present their identity card and vaccination card, containing at least two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, except for vaccines that require a single dose, the ABA explained in a press document.

Both documents can be presented in original, legible physical copy or digital photograph. The results of an original PCR test can also be shown, with negative detection, with a maximum of seven (7) days of being carried out by a laboratory authorized by the Ministry of Public Health or a special permit issued by said body.

The note specifies that on a temporary basis, people vaccinated with a single dose will be admitted to the establishments and that they are within the term to place the second dose as announced by the Minister of Public Health.

In addition, he recalled that the mandatory use of masks is maintained, respect for physical distancing, disinfection of spaces, as well as the occupation of up to 75% of the establishment’s capacity, among other measures to avoid the spread of coronavirus.

The ABA encouraged users to use modern digital channels, ATMs and bank subagents enabled by financial intermediation entities, where they can carry out their transactions quickly and efficiently.
