“Article 370” maintains its dominance in theaters. The film hit theaters on February 23 with Vidyut Jammwal’s ‘Krack’ and even after the clash, Yami Gautam’s ‘Article 370’ is making a splash on the screen. While Vidyut Jammwal’s film had done well at the box office in the initial days, it is now performing slowly at the box office.
According to Sacknilk’s report, ‘Article 370’ had an opening price of Rs 5.9 crore on the first day. The film earned Rs 7.4 crore on the second day and grossed Rs 9.6 crore on the third day. Even after the fourth day was a working day, Article 370 had collected Rs 3.25 crore. Now the provisional figures for the fifth day are out, according to which the film has collected Rs 1.73 crore so far.
If we look at the business of ‘Krack’, the film grossed Rs 4.25 crore on the first day. The film earned Rs 2.15 crore on the second day, Rs 2.3 crore on the third day and just Rs 1 crore on the fourth day. Even on the fifth day, business for the film seems to remain stagnant as Krack has reportedly earned just Rs 62 lakh so far.
While Article 370 is an action drama, Crack is a sports drama. Despite releasing both films simultaneously, ‘Krack’ fell far short of Yami Gautam’s ‘Article 370’ in terms of collection. While ‘Article 370’ collected a total of Rs 27.88 crore in five days, ‘Krack’ managed to earn only Rs 10.32 crore. This means that “Article 370” earned almost three times as much as “Crack.” The influence of “Article 370” continues worldwide and the film is doing very good business.
