Article 370 brought in record revenue on Sunday, you know – the third day of confiscation

“Article 370” hit theaters on February 23rd. This film had to clash with Vidyut Jammwal’s ‘Krack’ on the first day. At the same time, the film also had to compete with Shahid Kapoor’s Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, which was already in theaters. However, Yami Gautam’s film received positive reviews from audiences and critics, which cemented the film’s place at the box office. As for the film’s earnings, ‘Article 370’ had collected Rs 5.9 million on the first day of its release. On the second day i.e. Saturday, the film earned Rs 7.4 crore with an increase of 25.42 percent. The first figures for the revenue from the third day of the cinema release, i.e. the first Sunday, are now available.

  • With this, the total collection of Article 370 for three days now stands at Rs 22.80 crore.

The budget of Article 370 is said to be around Rs 20 billion. The film covered its costs by grossing more than Rs 21 crore in just three days. Now it remains to be seen how much more the film will gross at the box office.

Article 370 is directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale and produced by Aditya Dhar. Many actors including Yami Gautam, Priyamani and Kiran Karmarkar have played important roles in the film. The film showcases the difficulties the government faced in abrogating Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and the film also attacked the terrorism prevalent in Kashmir.
