Arsenal launches for an old wish of Real Madrid

Arsenal have launched an offer for the talented striker Kai Havertz from Chelsea. The north London club have shown great interest in Havertz and are now working to sign the 24-year-old.

The search for Arsenal, which is still at an early stage, has intensified in recent days after contact with Chelsea and Havertz. Bayern Munich, led by former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, are also fans of the Germany international, who still has a two-year contract at Stamford Bridge.

This puts Chelsea at a crossroads; Ideally, they would look to renew terms with Havertz or sell it for an acceptable price. However, this is not an inflexible rule and, if the attacker stays, there is optimism that he can regain his best form under new head coach Mauricio Pochettino after a difficult season.

But if a win-win deal emerges, Havertz may well walk away. According to The Athletic, Chelsea need to reduce their squad not only to make up for past expenses, but also to finance new signings in this transfer window.

Last season, Havertz mainly acted as a striker for Chelsea and scored nine goals in 47 appearances in all competitions. Since his arrival at Chelsea from Bayer Leverkusen three years ago, in a deal worth up to £90 million, Havertz has made 139 appearances for the club, scoring 32 goals and providing 15 assists.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are also planning to make an offer to West Ham United for Declan Rice in the near future. There has been positive dialogue on the matter and an offer is expected to be made at the appropriate time.

Arsenal have no intention of wasting anyone’s time, so they plan to formalize their efforts once the situation is clearer. The players led by Mikel Arteta will return from their summer vacation in the first week of July, before starting a training camp in Germany.

Arsenal hope to bolster Arteta’s squad by then, but if that’s not possible, they will ideally have done so before they leave on July 16 for a US tour.
