
An arrest warrant has been issued against Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan. The non-bailable warrant was delivered to his home on Monday. News – Al-Jazeera
It is mentioned in the warrant that Imran Khan has insulted the proceedings of the Election Commission of Pakistan.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) official Twitter account posted a photo of the arrest warrant, saying a copy of the arrest warrant was received by a member of Imran Khan’s legal team at his Lahore residence. Imran Khan has been asked to appear in the Election Commission hearing on Tuesday. He can appear before the commission.
Earlier, on July 11, the Election Commission of Pakistan had issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against Imran. Despite being summoned, he did not appear in the hearing of the commission at the scheduled time.
