In Brussels the champions’ trophies were lifted by the same couples as in the previous Open, the one in Granada. Paula and Ari had recovered number one and now they reinforce it. Their rivals have played all the finals of the year, and have only lost four games, against today’s winners. Actually, both couples have starred in 23 finals in two years and so far this year, and Gemma Triay and Alejandra Salazar dominate, 16-7, but Paula and Ari give the impression that they have taken the measure: they have won the last three (Reus, Granada and Brussels), a streak that they had never achieved. In all the sets Ari and Paula started with 2-0, then came the reaction, and thus they lost the first round 6-7.
