Israeli forces announced the release of two more Hamas hostages held captive since October 7 as the conflict escalated in the Middle East.
These are the Argentinians Fernando Simon Marman, 60 years old, and Louis Har, 70, who were rescued after an operation in Rafá, south of Gaza.
Israeli authorities reported that “both are in good health and have been transferred to Israel for further medical examination.”
“It was a very complex operation,” said Israeli military spokesman Lt. Col. Richard Hecht. “We have been working on this operation for a long time. “We have been waiting for the right conditions,” Reuters reported.
In this regard, the office of Argentine President Javier Milei thanked “the Israeli Defense Forces, the Shabak and the Israeli Police for the successful completion of the rescue.”
