An earthquake of magnitude 6.6 was felt in Argentina, a country in Latin America.
The US Geological Survey (USGS) said the earthquake was felt shortly after 12:00 local time on Sunday.
According to the USGS, the earthquake, which was felt at 12:05 p.m. local time, had its origin near the town of Longcopu in Argentina’s southern province of Neuquen, at a depth of 171.4 kilometers below the surface.
Meanwhile, the German Research Center for Geosciences reported in a Reuters news agency that the magnitude of the earthquake was 6.4.
There is no word yet on whether there were any casualties or damage caused by the earthquake.
