The Argentine men’s volleyball team, a true revelation of the tournament, added a new victory on Saturday night in the third window of the discipline’s Nations League (VNL), by narrowly defeating Iran 3-2, in the city from Anaheim, in the United States.

The team led by coach Marcelo Méndez built a hard-fought victory with scores of 25-19, 28-30, 27-29, 25-20 and 15-11, after more than two hours and 20 minutes of intense fighting.

The albiceleste team had just obtained a similar result against the local representative (3-2), in a duel that ended at dawn on Saturday and contained the following progression: 25-18, 23-25, 23-25, 43-41 and 15-12.

In the Iranian team, which felt the injury to Ali Hajipour (14 goals) midway through the third chapter, Sharifi Morteza stood out, with 16 goals.
