The new one Dominican airline of low prices Arajet carried out a reconnaissance flight to the International Airport of The Roman, from Bogota Colombiain which dozens of tour operators, travel agents and media from that South American country arrived in the country.
The aircraft was received by the main executives of the airport and the airline in a initiative that seeks to expand horizons in the future and enhance the destiny of La Romana as one of the tourist attractions that visitors from Colombia can easily enjoy, taking advantage of the regular Arajet flights that connect 5 Colombian cities with Santo Domingo.

The flight to La Romana also served to Arajet put into operation the children’s program “Pilot for a day” in which more than 40 children with their respective guardians, sponsored by the MIR Foundation and the Eastern Charity Board (PBO) of this province, had the opportunity to get on a plane and fly for the first time.
The group of infants took off from the La Romana International Airport and landed at the Las Américas International Airport and during the journey they were able to meet the pilots, visit the control cabin and enjoy a series of amenities that Arajet prepared for them, among which highlight the presence of a Santa Claus on the flight who offered gifts and fun to the children.
This initiative, which will continue to be implemented month after month, It seeks that low-income children can live the experience of flying on an airplane and become familiar with the idea of one day being able to be a pilot for a world-class Dominican airline such as Arajet.
