The well-known browser company Opera is luring internal users with a spectacular offer: live on a deserted island off the coast of Iceland for a week and surf the Internet and get $10,000 for it. Wonderful peace and breathtaking nature are included free of charge. If you're interested, you can now apply for this dream job at Opera as a “Tabfulness Guru” (Opera's original sound).

You must be of legal age and only fill out this application form to take part in the advertisement. Applications start today, January 23, 2024. Only one application per person is possible. The Opera-Tam will select an applicant based on his/her creative application and inform them via email. To ensure that the applicant meets the conditions of the contest, he or she will take part in an interview with the Opera team before the winner is announced.
The story that Opera tells about the campaign sounds a bit… strange:
For seven years, Valgardur Hlöðversson, Opera's Tabfulness guru, retreated to Bjarnarey – a deserted volcanic island off the coast of Iceland – to introspect and explore how to bring Scandinavian serenity to the browser. The Tabfulness Guru meditates daily to understand the meaning of digital tranquility and shares his wisdom with the staff at Opera. Tab Islands, the innovative, intuitive way to group tabs to make them more manageable, was born from the inspiration the Opera team received from their guru.
But the guru needs some vacation now. And during this vacation you are supposed to represent him on the island and take on the role of the Tabfulness Guru. For one week and for a payment of $10,000.
