The second half of 2022 promises to be quite exciting for Apple users. In addition to the announcement of the iPhone 14 and a host of Mac devices, we now have the hint of a new Apple TV launch.
The thesis is advanced by Ming-Chi Kuo through his Twitter profile. The well-known American technology analyst made interesting statements regarding the next model of Apple’s entertainment box.
Next Apple TV promises to be a product for the masses
Ming-Chi Kuo did not go into detail in his latest post. The renowned analyst only says that a new version of Apple TV will arrive in the second half of the year with a more affordable price.
He believes that such a product is the result of a new and more aggressive strategy that Apple is developing. The objective of this new product will be to reduce the difference between its proposal and the other competitors in the segment.
We have no data on how much the next Apple TV could cost, nor details on the technical details of it. Indeed, we will have to wait for new information to clarify these details.
I remember that the American company has two models of Apple TV on the market. In the first place we have the HD model with a base price of €159 and for the most amateurs we have the Apple TV 4K from €199.
When we look at the wide range of Android boxes, these values are well above most proposals on the market. It is this scenario that Apple will try to smooth out with the next generation of its entertainment device.
To reduce the price, Apple may choose to reduce the included hardware or features offered. In fact, the next model could arrive with a more restrained processor or limited to the reproduction of movies and series, ruling out the gaming component.
For now everything is speculation and it is imperative to wait for more details about this product. Data that will surely have to be shared as we get closer to the presentation of the new Apple TV.
