Apple TV is scheduled to launch 14 new original series and films throughout 2026, initiating a major expansion of its streaming catalog this spring. The rollout highlights the platform’s strategy to compete with industry rivals by frontloading its schedule with prestige, women-led narratives and high-profile studio co-productions.
The upcoming slate centers on the Wednesday, March 18 premiere of Imperfect Women, an eight-episode psychological thriller series. Co-produced by 20th Television and Apple Studios, the limited series will debut its first two episodes on premiere day, transitioning to a weekly release schedule through April 29.
Created by Annie Weisman and based on Araminta Hall’s bestselling novel, the series examines how a violent crime shatters the decades-long friendship of three women. The project stars Elisabeth Moss, Kerry Washington, and Kate Mara in the lead roles, alongside a supporting cast featuring Joel Kinnaman, Corey Stoll, and Leslie Odom Jr. Both Moss and Washington serve as executive producers under their respective production banners, Love & Squalor Pictures and Simpson Street.
The series held its world premiere at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles on March 10. Director Lesli Linka Glatter directed and executive-produced multiple episodes of the thriller. Following her previous work on the Apple TV series Physical, Weisman recently signed a multi-year, first-look overall deal with the streaming network in early March.
Apple TV’s March release schedule also includes the recent March 13 premiere of Twisted Yoga, a three-part documentary series investigating alleged abuse at a tantric yoga school. Looking ahead, the animated preschool series Wonder Pets: In the City will return for a second season on March 20, followed by the season five premiere of the alternate-history space drama For All Mankind on March 27. The French-language thriller The Hunt is also scheduled for a mid-month release.
The platform will continue its slate expansion into the spring with the dark comedy Outcome, starring Keanu Reeves and Cameron Diaz, scheduled for April 10. Margo’s Got Money Troubles, featuring Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Nicole Kidman, follows on April 15. The Matthew Rhys horror-comedy Widow’s Bay will launch on April 29. Summer releases include Cape Fear starring Javier Bardem and Amy Adams on June 5, Lucky starring Anya Taylor-Joy on July 15, and the blockbuster Mayday with Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh on September 4.
The announced 2026 lineup concludes in the fall with the action-adventure film Matchbox: The Movie, featuring John Cena, Jessica Biel, and Sam Richardson on October 9, and the Chris Pratt vehicle Way of the Warrior Kid on November 20.
