Several sources previously indicated that Apple would be working on a new MacBook Air with a 15.5-inch display. Now Ross Young, of Display Supply Chain Consultants, advances that this notebook model could hit the market as early as April.

According to Young, the new MacBook Air entered the mass production phase exactly this month, which indicates that in April it could be officially announced by the Cupertino company. However, for now Apple is silent on the matter.

Other sources also ensure that the model will be available with two M2 processor options, more specifically the M2 or M2 Pro chip. Information also provided by the well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

Kuo goes further, saying that the MacBook Air equipped with the M2 Pro chip will support 67-watt fast charging and that it may get a new marketing designation, ditching the MacBook Air name.

Finally, Mark Gurman, a journalist for the Bloomberg news agency, has also confirmed that Apple is working on a new version of the MacBook Air that will have the aforementioned 15.5 inches. The journalist, known for his reliable information about Apple, also advances that the model will be available in the spring of 2023.

It is recalled that the 13.6-inch MacBook Air currently available in the company’s portfolio was made available at the WWDC 2022 event that took place from June 6 to 10 last year.
