iPhone 12: Apple says using alternative chargers will not affect warranty

The iPhone 12 series is still one of the most discussed topics in the tech market, whether due to the renovation made in the design, which brought a restart of the look that marked the brand towards the iPhone 5S. However, Apple ended up causing a lot of controversy with the removal of the charger from the packaging of the new version.

Indeed, the brand took this action precisely when it changed the correction format of the cable, which caused users to have several “unnecessary” charger sockets in the drawer. However, what worries customers of the brand the most is the fact that the warranty does not cover the use of chargers from other brands.

However, recently the company confirmed that even with the use of alternative chargers, buyers will be able to claim the warranty in case of damage. However, Apple clarified that this coverage will only be valid if the accessory purchased for use on the iPhone 12 is certified by Anatel.

Compatible third-party charging products that meet applicable safety regulations and standards (for example, products certified by Anatel) can be used to charge the iPhone; the use of these chargers will not affect the product warranty, ”Apple said in a statement to Tecnoblog.

So, keep an eye out for the Anatel certification label when purchasing a plug to charge the iPhone.
