Apple is always on the move, and its latest software updates are steadily taking shape. They just released the sixth beta version for iOS 26, giving developers a fresh look at what’s coming. But it’s not just iPhones getting new code. Test versions are also out for iPadOS 26, watchOS 26, tvOS 25, visionOS 26, and macOS Tahoe 26. So, what fresh changes did Apple include this time around?
The company made these sixth beta versions available to developers today. This new batch of updates arrived just a week after the fifth betas came out. If you’re a registered developer, you can get the new beta software. Just head to the “Software Update” section inside your device’s “Settings” app.
One of the most noticeable changes in iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 is Apple’s new “Liquid Glass” look. This design really focuses on making things seem clear and see-through, with user interface parts looking like actual glass. This cool new style shows up everywhere. You’ll see it on your Lock screen, your Home screen, and the Control Center. It also appears in menus and on buttons within many of your apps.
Beyond the fresh look, Apple’s software update brings other exciting improvements. Popular apps like Messages, Phone, Shortcuts, and Apple Music all gained new features. Plus, the beta includes the upcoming Apple Intelligence tools and a completely new design for CarPlay. There are many more changes packed in as well.
iPad users will notice a big change in iPadOS 26. It now has a brand-new multitasking system. This system lets you use multiple app windows at once, making your iPad feel much more like a Mac computer. For those who like to customize their iPhone, iOS 26 in this beta offers a fun detail. It adds six alternative versions of the standard ringtone. There’s also a new ringtone option called “Little Bird.”
